Another issue related to updates for Windows 10. The Redmond team has decided to stop distributing the update KB4524244 published less than a week ago, following numerous reports of bugs and malfunctions. Those who have already downloaded and installed it can proceed with its removal by following the procedure described below.
To assist a small set of affected devices, the standalone security update KB4524244 has been removed and will not be re-distributed through the Windows Update, Windows Server Update Services or Microsoft Update Catalog channels.
Stop updating Windows 10 KB4524244
In Windows 10 access the "Settings", then select "Update and security", then "Windows Update" and finally "View update history". In the upper part of the window press "Uninstall updates", right click on "KB4524244 update" and "Uninstall", as shown in the screenshot below. Confirm the choice (taking care to indicate the correct update) and wait for the completion of the operation.
In an official press release Microsoft has announced that it is already working on a new version of the update, together with its partners, with the aim of making it available in the shortest possible time.
