It turns out that you do not have to be a hacker to block someone on the social network. Just a simple trick will do it yourself.

Innocent – it would seem – a joke on Twitter has turned into a wave of account locks.
“Change your date of birth in 2007 to get new skins”
Such a troll-guide (in different variations) has been following Twitter for several days. Authors usually promise new interface colors that are not available to normal users.
The presence of skins stitched in the application code is obviously fake, but this is not the worst thing about it all. Well, after changing the year of birth for 2007 (or any later), Twitter automatically blocks a specific account.
Opening accounts on social networking sites before the age of 13 is illegal in many countries
When a user changes their birth date Twitter automatically acknowledges that he or she is not over 13 years old. Then – in accordance with the regulations in force in many countries – it blocks the account.

It is not easy to cope with this problem. When the account is blocked, you can not enter the settings and change the date of birth again.
However, Twitter knows about the problem, so people who have been victims of jokes may try to contact the service. This after verification should restore blocked accounts.
Meanwhile, Twitter really introduces a new, dark graphic theme
Ironically, this joke coincided with the time when Twitter really introduced a new black skin in the iOS app. However, you do not need to use any unusual tricks to activate it; just go to settings.
