Amazon Campus Challenge arrives in Italy
As can be seen in the image below, the best proposals will be awarded prizes of 5,000, 7,000 and 10,000 euros. The aim of the competition is to put the world of sports in contact SMEs and that of the University students that in the future they will find themselves entering the world of work. So Mariangela Marseglia, Amazon Country Manager in Italy and Spain, commented on today's announcement.
Amazon Campus Challenge is an excellent exercise for students to really practice what they have learned at the academic level and to offer a lot to a small-medium enterprise such as, for example, new business perspectives and innovative ideas. Students will learn how to start a real business on Amazon and how to sell these SME products to our customers. This is also a good opportunity for small and medium-sized Italian companies to try online sales as an additional business channel and to engage in e-commerce, in practice understanding both the opportunities it offers in commercial terms and the importance of investing in these skills.
There are already dozens of institutions that have shown interest in the competition: Bocconi, Luiss, LUM Jean Monnet, University of Bari and University of Udine. Nearly 100 registered teams will face the four phases scheduled from now until June 2020: registration, SME research, implementation of a business plan and start of sales before reaching the final presentation. Finally, in the press release sent to the editorial office, Amazon reminds students that by participating in the Campus Challenge, students will obtain one discount from 5 euros on a purchase made through Amazon.it after registering with Prime Student.
