With the aim of containing and contrasting the spread of the as effectively as possible coronavirus, currently there are ten municipalities registered in the so-called red area in Lombardy (Codogno, Castiglione d’Adda, Casalpusterlengo, Fombio, Maleo, Somaglia, Bertonico, Terranova dei Passerini, Castelgerundo, San Fiorano) and one in Veneto (Vo '). Sanctions provided for offenders, as reported in decree published in the Official Journal February 23: fine of up to 206 euros and detention of up to three months.
Coronavirus, red zone: no entry or exit
As we read in local and national newspapers, however, there are those who don't care about the indications and put themselves at risk as well as the community goes beyond without authorization the borders of the countries listed above, also thanks to many access routes typical of a territory where the places are connected by fields and dirt roads, not all manned. The efforts put in place by the police, understandably already proven for the commitment of these days on other fronts, are however intensifying.
It is good to remember that the government's regulations do not prohibit the movement of vehicles within the red zone, at least for the moment. It is not said that the measures applied may become more restrictive in case of need or that in the list of municipalities concerned it may lengthen. The invitation to everyone is to collaborate is follow the instructions provided, for the collective good .
We take as a reference the site of the Municipality of Codogno, in the province of Lodi, the one in which the first case of coronavirus infection was recorded. The page dedicated to the health alert, in addition to communicating the list of closed facilities (schools, gyms, bars and restaurants), the list of operational services (home delivery of meals, waste collection, pharmacies) and open supermarkets, attaches the "Model for red zone entry / exit derogation request" to be filled in and forwarded to the email address of the local Prefecture if necessary, specifying the reason for the request. In the document we read:
The employer undertakes to ensure health surveillance for the daily check of the state of health with regard to the symptoms and signs of COVID19.
Authorization is therefore granted exclusively for the purpose of carrying out professional activity.
